Bryan and Michelle

Lindsay and I made the drive up to lovely San Marino with Bryan and Michelle yesterday to capture a look that they wanted. This time of year is so pretty in that area. All the streets are lined with huge, old trees and the houses have some characteristic to them vs. all the track houses in Orange County. The Jacaranda trees were in full bloom and there were entire streets lined with these purple flowered trees. Amazing. So we dared the weather on Saturday hoping for something with some mood. We ended up with some dark skies, got wet ourselves, used our umbrellas and had a little sun peek through at the end of the day. Here’s what was captured:

This was such a great time. To begin, Ashley surprised Elisha with this shoot. He showed up thinking he was going on a hot date! They are getting married in early June and Elisha had talked to Ashley about wanting to get some engagement photos but never had the time to schedule. I’m so much more excited to shoot their wedding after this session. They interact so well, I barely had to direct. We had a blast. Over the weekend, Lindsay and I got to spend the afternoon with Nikki and Trevor in the Crystal Cove area. We’re shooting their wedding in July and look forward to it! I don’t think they realized what they were getting into for this shoot. We ended up hiking, climbing, going into restricted areas and all sorts of fun. They’re such a fun couple and we came away with some great shots! Here they are.

                                 
             

The Sweet Grandkids!

For Mother’s Day coming up, my favorite Aunt Kim had me photograph her grandkids for their mothers. We went to a local park in Santa Ana and I followed them around documenting them interacting. They are a tight crew, looking out for one another, holding hands and laughing the whole time. It was so fun and I came away with some cute photos. One Big Happy Family

Yesterday I was fortunate to photograph the once Merritt kids (some which now have been married into different names). What a fun family. Three boys and two girls is quite a party to grow up with and they wanted to get some photos for Mom on Mother’s Day.They are such a fun crew, a family you’d love to be a part of.
I love, love this first photo. How cute is their new little puppy?
